Women Got The Short End Of The Stick

The level at which I see most women suffer is such a travesty and I trust the “why” of today’s article will make this as plain as day.

While there has been so much talk of “equality” let’s take a look at what that means.

Today’s women typically:

  • Takes care of her home
  • Takes care of her children
  • Takes care of her husband
  • Perhaps plays a role in taking care of her community
  • And on top of this, she also typically works a full time job

This is why I say that women got the short end of the stick and it frustrates me to no end to see the after effects of the typical woman’s lifestyle.

I am the one man that is not afraid to say “we have it easy.”

So what does this exhausting life for the typical women mean to her?

First off, there is a huge amount of stress on women on a regular basis and they often do not have enough left in the tank to truly care for themselves.

This most often leads to stress hormones initially spiking too high and eventually plummeting into what is referred to as the stress hormone crash or adrenal insufficiency.

Once this occurs it creates a cascade of other challenges for the female body.

  • Poor metabolism
  • Weight gain
  • Hair loss
  • Poor mental clarity
  • Unstable energy
  • Beginning of digestive issues
  • Fatigue
  • Issues with detoxification
  • Bloating
  • Water retention
  • Poor immunity
  • Slow healing
  • Aches and pain
  • Blood sugar crashes
  • Poor bone formation
  • Ease of injury
  • Poor sleep
  • Unstable moods
  • Poor memory
  • Low comprehension
  • Brain fog

In the end, I see these women often diagnosed with:

  • Hypothyroid conditions
  • Diabetes
  • PMS
  • Infertility
  • Menopause symptoms
  • Leaky gut
  • Food sensitivities
  • Toxicity
  • Inflammatory conditions
  • Autoimmunity
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Insulin resistance
  • Osteopenia
  • Tendonitis
  • Depression
  • Neurodegeneration
  • Dementia
  • Alzheimer’s
  • Heart disease

So what do you do about this?

I don’t have the cultural answer for this. After all, most women are taught at very young age to take care of everyone around them and instinctually women are definitely care givers much more-so than men.

When women were in the midst of receiving “equality” it appears that all that happened is they piled a full time job on top of what was already more than a full time job.

As mentioned above, while I do not have the answer for the cultural shift, I applaud women that take the time and effort to care for themselves.

It is always exciting to see women at Depke Wellness that are addressing their hormone balance, uncovering food sensitivities, uncovering previously unknown infections, getting to the core of the subconscious patterns and so much more.

Unfortunately, most women have not done this and you may be recognizing this yourself right now.

While this significantly impacts so many health conditions mentioned above, I have to say that one area that this will impact most women is with menopause.

I always share that there is only one symptom that women should experience when going through menopause, and this is simply the absence of your monthly cycle.

No hot flashes, sleeplessness, depression, mood swings, etc.

These occur because the life of a women typically leads her into menopause with what I would refer to as adrenal insufficiency.

This is an issue for most women because during the transition of life, known as menopause, women are dependent on their adrenal gland function to maintain hormone balance.

Unfortunately because most women got the short end of the stick, they enter this phase of their life with the inability to maintain proper hormone balance. Because the stress hormones and adrenal function do not have the vitality needed, this leads to cascade of menopause symptoms.

It is highly likely for this woman to gain weight at this time. Yet most do not understand that once the ovaries cut back estrogen production and the adrenals to not have enough vitality to keep up the necessary production, the next best place to produce estrogen is in fat cells.

So in the end, the weight gain is your body’s attempt to maintain hormone balance, which is why this weight is so difficult to lose.

There is an answer though…

So ladies, please take the time for yourself, and the sooner the better. Your body is an amazing miracle occurring in every moment, and you will be amazed that the changes that can occur as you find your balance.
