Simply Do Not Sleep Well?

GABA Receptors and Sleep

One of the single biggest factors for why you feel poorly all the time is simply a lack of sleep.

Now, let’s even define what a positive sleep pattern is first.

So a positive sleep pattern means that, number one, you follow natural circadian rhythms. So you would actually be waking up as close to when the sun comes up in the morning and going to sleep approximately eight hours before that.

Now, when you would go to bed, you would already be feeling tired. You would lay down and literally within maybe five, 10 minutes, you’re out like a light, right.

Now then proper sleep means that you would stay in a deeper pattern, perhaps you’d get up once to use the restroom in the middle of the night, but you should be able to lay right back down and fall right back asleep.

Now when you stay into this deeper sleep through these different cycles through the night, and then you wake up in the morning, again somewhere around the time the sun comes up, and then when you wake up, you feel refreshed. You feel like you’re ready to take on the day, almost like waking up like a little kid at Christmas time, and you bound out of bed ready to move on.

Now, if you’re not enjoying all of that, it tells me that your sleep cycle is off.

Now, perhaps you’ve already known your sleep cycle is off, and you’ve done many different things to try to improve this. Maybe you’ve taken melatonin, it worked for a while, and it stopped working. Maybe you heard about the importance of serotonin as a neurotransmitter and you’ve taken serotonin, and it also maybe worked a little bit initially, and then it stopped working at the same level.

I’m here to tell you that there’s another potentially big problem for you that’s not allowing you to enjoy the ultimate night’s sleep that you’re looking for, and that’s tied into what’s known as your GABA receptor.

So GABA is another neurotransmitter. It’s one of the four primary neurotransmitters your body needs to maintain your best balance, which also the serotonin is another one of those four.

Now, the thing that I want you to understand with GABA though, the GABA receptors have a calming effect on your body. So if you’re dealing with anxiety, if you’re dealing with stress, if you’re dealing with fear, these are all challenges that can affect your sleep.

Because anxiety, stress and fear also raise cortisol, which is a natural stress response hormone, which then depletes melatonin. And high cortisol and low melatonin just basically blow out any opportunity for a good night’s sleep.

And very often it’s because the GABA receptors just aren’t activated properly, so you don’t have that calming effect. So that anxiety from the day, the stress of the day, the fear of the day, is actually leaving you in a compromised mental and emotional state that’s having a big impact on your overall sleep pattern, and you’re just not enjoying the sleep that you need.

And this is so important because sleep isn’t just to feel rested. You see, when you get into your deeper sleep, this is the primary time of rest and repair of your day.

So regardless of what you’re trying to improve in your health, you need proper sleep to really achieve the goals that you’re looking for.

Now, an answer for you, if you’ve already tried the melatonin unsuccessfully, if you’ve already tried the serotonin unsuccessfully, and you’ve never looked at really what’s going on with your GABA receptors, I can share with you what I utilize with a lot of clients in my office with a great level of success, and this is with a supplement called Neurosera.

Now, Neurosera specifically is a liquid. It’s quite a tasty liquid that you would take about an hour before bedtime.
