Enough with Stress Already…

by Glen Depke

In my opinion, stress is the single biggest factor in dis-ease states. While most think of stress as just mental and emotional, this stress could also be physical or chemical.

While we cannot ignore other factors that contribute to our health and wellness, it is imperative to look at stress for the significant role that it plays in our life.

So, enough with stress already…

When I share this, I want you to understand that I  do not expect you to live a stress free life. To be honest with you, that would be impossible. Stress is not only a part of life for all of us, it is actually a necessary part of our lives.

So how does stress affect us and how to we live in balance with this?

First of all remember as mentioned above, stress is not just mental/emotional. This could also be physical and/or chemical stress

We all know what the mental/emotional stress looks like:

  • Bills in the mail
  • Challenges with a spouse
  • Issues at work
  • Disruptions with the kids
  • Traffic on the way to work
  • Loss of a job
  • Divorce
  • and so on…

The physical stress though is very different:

  • Chronic inflammation
  • Poor vertebrae alignment
  • Past head trauma
  • Chronic illness
  • Over training
  • and more…

 Chemical stresses are different too:

  • Toxic exposure
  • Constipation (1 bowel movement or less per day)
  • Brain toxicity due to a poor brain/barrier function
  • Alcohol use
  • Drug use (recreational, over the counter or prescription)
  • Chemicals produced from negatively perceived emotions
  • and so much more…

So what we can see here is that there is more than enough to contribute to our stress on a daily basis and truthfully, most are overwhelmed on many or most of these areas.

What is effected by this stress?

The most significant issue is the challenge this creates to your adrenal function. Unfortunately, most do not address their adrenal function and wait to seek attention until the poor adrenal function impacts other areas of your body, such as…

  • challenges with sleep
  • low sexual desire
  • midsection weight gain
  • PMS, menopause, infertility
  • digestive problems
  • endocrine impairment
  • poor immune function
  • low energy
  • poor muscular/skeletal health
  • poor mental clarity
  • inflammatory issues
  • poor detoxification
  • blood sugar concerns

Recognize that if adrenal function is not addressed, this has an extreme holistic effect on your body. As a reference, I have looked at approximately 4,000 adrenal test kits in my career and I have only seen about 1/10 of 1% actually come back normal and healthy. This is  a real issue of almost 100% of health challenged individuals.

So what’s a person to do?

First of all, if you have not already, take the complimentary adrenal assessment online by clicking here. This can provide an idea of where you may be adrenal speaking. If you find that your adrenals are a likely issue, it would be imperative to have your adrenals testing by a qualified health practitioner and I would always suggest saliva testing. Blood testing only provides one snapshot of adrenal function, while saliva testing provides accurate variances throughout the day.

For those that do not have the financial means to test, the minimum focus would be to add daily supplemental use of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) as used in the Depke Wellness Prime Adrenal Support.

This along with taking care of your fundamentals of health would be a good start until you have the ability to test your adrenal function and address this accordingly to allow your body the means to find its adrenal balance.
