I also understand that you are likely already “sick and tired” of the conventional medical concept of symptom treatment. After all, waiting for a diagnosed dis-ease state and taking prescription drugs is not what most of us are looking for anymore. I hear this all the time from our clients, the Depke Wellness followers and from engagement online. Don’t you wish there was a way to understand your health just by looking at your body? Well, there is! I will provide you some examples here that can tell you quite a bit about your body today. What I am about to provide for you is not a diagnosis but rather I will educate you on the value of Traditional Chinese Medicine assessment tools known as fingernail and tongue assessment. This is used to provide you a “clue” as to the direction your body is heading. Understanding this provides a direction to create a proactive and preventive strategy to reach reach your desired level of health. This may be tied into:
  • Your energy levels
  • Moods
  • Mental focus
  • Weight
  • PMS
  • Menopause
  • Infertility
  • Metabolism
  • Cold hands and feet
  • Energy highs and lows
  • Bloating
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Pain
  • Quality of sleep
Everybody wants to address these levels of health and I am sure you do too! Here are some simple tools you can use right now.
Cherry Angiomas
Cherry Angiomas
Cherry angiomas can tell you a few different things about your body. If you have these markings on the trunk of your body, this can tell you that you are potentially challenged with liver congestion or estrogen dominance. If liver congestion is the issue, this can lead to many issues.
  • Poor detoxification
  • Digestive issues such as chronic bloating
  • Poor hormone conversion, especially estrogen hormones
  • Poor nutrient uptake or malnutrition
If this is tied into estrogen dominance this would be a risk factor for breast cancer for both women and even men and also a risk factor for prostate cancer for men. This estrogen dominance is typically tied into the conversion of testosterone into estrogen because of the overproduction of an enzyme called aromatase. This is most often tied into poor blood sugar regulation and high insulin. If you happen to see these cherry angiomas near your hairline on your head, this could be a risk factor for a stroke. I am sure you would rather know that you have a risk of stroke so you can do something about this, rather than wait until you have a stroke and the attempt to recover completely. So just by understanding cherry angiomas, you can learn so much about your body. But there’s more… Tongue 2                     There are a couple of signs on this tongue will provide deep insight for you also. The cracks in the middle of the tongue are likely tied into a deeper digestive issue. This could be food sensitivity, gut infections such as parasite, bad bacteria among other infections and this could also tie into the long term affect of stress on digestion. The teeth marks on the outside of the tongue can show potential insulin resistance or if these indentations were deeper, this could be a kidney issue also. This could be due to any mineral deficiency and/or this could also tie into estrogen dominance also. There is one more that is so important to show you. thumb nail                 This picture shows the half moon at the base of the nail. You would like to see one of these on each thumb, the next three nails and none on the pinky finger. If you are missing any moons, this can be due to poor peripheral circulation. This would affect the body’s ability to push blood to the small capillaries in the extremities of the body. Many people will notice this as cold hands or feet or even numbness or tingling in the hands or feet. Think about the other extreme of your body though, which is your brain. This could also be affecting your ability to get blood to the extreme areas of your brain, thus restricting oxygen and nutrients to your brain. If this sounds like a bad idea, you are correct. If you are missing all your “moons” this could also be a risk factor for cancer in your future. I know you would rather know this years in advance rather than after a diagnosis of cancer, wouldn’t you. These are just some examples of what your body can tell you about potential challenges you are facing or may face in the future. I have been using this tool in my practice since 2001 and this has been invaluable for thousands of clients over the years. I trust that this provides some value for you also!
